The marketer who
actually knows the field.

I didn’t start in marketing. I started in the field.

For years, I called on 40–50 client locations a day at ITW, walked the floor with distributors and franchise operators at NGEN and Throttle Muscle, and built relationships the hard way — by actually showing up. That field grounding became my permanent competitive edge.

At NGEN, I served as National Sales Representative, building deep relationships with franchise locations across the FullSpeed Automotive system. I know how these operations work from the inside — their priorities, their pressure points, what earns their trust and what doesn’t.

Today, at FullSpeed Automotive, I build the strategies and systems that make marketing work at scale and in a voice that is unique to our brands. I’m the person who can walk into a franchisee or operator meeting — for any brand, in any category — speak their language, earn their trust, and then return to the office and design the campaign that moves the needle. I’ve stepped into Director and VP-level responsibilities, partnered with executive leadership, and led internal teams and agency partners to deliver work that drives measurable business outcomes. That combination of field credibility, strategic execution, and operational leadership is rare, and it travels.

I’m based in Madison, WI — and yes, I work remotely. Fully, effectively, and without missing a beat.

Field-to-franchise fluency — built in, not briefed.

Franchise partners can spot a corporate marketer who’s never actually worked at the location level. I’m not that person. I’ve earned trust in the field — as a vendor, a sales rep, and a strategic partner — long before I was writing briefs and building campaigns. That history gives me something most brand marketers don’t have: credibility in the room where decisions actually get made.

Cars of Character

High-Mileage Loyalty Campaign

High-mileage cars aren’t just vehicles — they’re full of character. Every scratch, squeak, and stubborn quirk tells a story. This campaign turned that emotional bond into a loyalty engine across three distinct franchise brands.

Developed the full concept, campaign manifesto, creative direction, brand-specific executions for each of the three brands, customer activation flow, membership kit design, and go-to-market launch strategy — all from scratch.

No Monkey Business℠

Brand Campaign

Grease Monkey hadn’t had a creative platform since 2021. This campaign changed that — built around the “No Monkey Business Guarantee,” an existing limited warranty repositioned as an ownable brand promise that gave franchisees something to rally behind and customers a reason to return.

Led from brief to full launch: brand platform development, creative direction, TV spot, franchise adoption strategy, offer mechanics, and full multi-channel deployment including paid social, programmatic, email, and landing pages.

The stories behind the résumé.

Before it was a job title, field engagement and franchisee education were things I built from scratch because I believed operators deserved better support. Two stories that show what that actually looks like.

Win a Ninja for a Day

I created a sales incentive contest for Grease Monkey franchisees: hit your product KPIs, and I come work in your store for the day as an employee — and buy the team breakfast and lunch.

Franchisee Nick Britton in Centerville, UT took me up on it. I put on the Grease Monkey hat, got in the pit, and worked alongside his team all day. That’s what I mean by showing up.

Regional Education Series — Built as a Vendor

Quick Lube ReCalibration

Before I worked at FullSpeed, I built a regional education series for quick lube operators because they deserved better support than the industry was giving them. Four events. Four cities. Three years running. Zero cost to attendees.

I assembled a multi-vendor coalition, handled all event logistics, and hosted 200+ operators for a day of real, practical business education. The operators kept coming back. So did the vendors.

“The time, money, and effort to attend is well worth it. There is something for anyone from a new operator to a seasoned quick lube veteran.”

“Inspiring and informative. Met some really interesting peers and vendors who are in my portfolio today.”

Building marketing that actually scales.

The real differentiator isn’t the campaign — it’s the infrastructure behind it. Here’s how I’ve used AI, automation, and systems thinking to solve real problems and drive measurable outcomes.

01

Monday.com Campaign Management Platform

The problem

Campaign and creative production were managed through disconnected tools and email threads — no visibility, no process enforcement, and no capacity tracking across a 15-person marketing organization.

What I built

Led full implementation of Monday.com as the single source of truth for the entire marketing org. Built the board architecture, workflow automations, status categories, and integrations from scratch. Trained the team and embedded the platform into campaign planning, creative production, agency management, and field requests.

~30% output increase · 15-person org · 14+ SOPs built · Full team adoption
02

“Oil Changes for Good” — End-to-End Fundraising Automation

The problem

Leadership challenged marketing and operations to build a community fundraising program from scratch. No vendor, no template, no playbook — just a brief and a deadline.

What I built

Designed the full program model, built a branded intake system where nonprofits apply, get reviewed for eligibility, and automatically receive a custom marketing package — flyer, email, and social post pre-filled with their organization name, store locations, dates, and unique coupon codes. Coordinated AP, IT, and Operations for end-to-end execution. Fully automated.

43 nonprofits enrolled · 16+ states · $2,926 donated · Zero manual fulfillment
03

Automated Promotional Asset Delivery

The problem

Updating promotional flyers and pricing menus for 300+ locations took two full weeks of a designer’s time every quarter — across 17 brand versions and 7+ document types. Sometimes we outsourced it entirely.

What I built

Partnered with IT to build PDF form templates connected through Power Automate and Encodian. Center managers select their store from a dropdown, choose their materials — flyers, nametags, Google review sheets, pricing menus — and receive everything in their inbox within seconds, pre-populated and optimized for printing.

2 wks → sec 300+ locations served · Outsourcing eliminated · Power Automate + Encodian
04

On-Demand Discount Code System

The problem

Corporate field managers needed fast recovery tools for unhappy customers, but uncontrolled discount access creates abuse and zero accountability — a real tension in any franchise operation.

What I built

Built a bank of one-time-use coupon codes in the POS system spanning multiple discount tiers, connected through a Microsoft Form with automated routing. Field managers submit a request with store, reason, and discount needed — and receive an unused code immediately, with a full audit trail for accountability.

Real-time code delivery · Full audit trail · POS + Microsoft Forms · Replicable for franchise
05

Budget Actualization & Invoice Automation

The problem

Invoice processing was manual and disconnected, with no store-level attribution — making it impossible to trace marketing spend to individual locations across 300+ stores, multiple brand pools, and a corporate/franchise split. Leadership had limited visibility into what was being spent where and why.

What I built

Designed a standardized invoice coding system with store-level attribution across all business units (ROP, franchise NMF/SAF, ADI). Built a full chart of accounts, processing SOPs, and a structured monthly close cadence — accruals, stakeholder review, finance reconciliation, and executive reporting on planned vs. actual. The model was adopted for franchise materials fund forecasting and allocation. Currently automating the full pipeline: invoice arrives in inbox → auto-coded, saved to SharePoint, forwarded to AP — no manual steps.

3 wks faster vendor payments · 10+ min/invoice eliminated · Franchise fund adoption · Exec-level spend visibility

What colleagues say.

“I hired Ashley in 2012 and it remains one of the best hiring decisions I’ve ever made. Young, hungry, fearless, and smart — and those qualities haven’t changed in 14 years. She grows into every role she takes on. I’ve followed her career through multiple companies and I would hire her again without a moment’s hesitation. I wish I had ten more people like her.”

Ellie Pentland Partner · Throttle Muscle Hired and worked alongside Ashley across ITW, NGEN & Throttle Muscle — 2012 to present

“Whatever role Ashley takes on, she shows up fully committed. As a Grease Monkey franchisee, I can tell you she is exactly what a corporate marketing partner should be — someone who genuinely understands the franchisee world, earns trust, and follows through. She heard what my team needed, organized a full training for my store managers on her own initiative, and executed without requiring any involvement from me. That’s how she operates. I endorse her without reservation.”

Tyson Daniels Owner/Operator · Grease Monkey (3 locations) Threshold Automotive · Alder Automotive · DB Automotive Enterprises

“Ashley is one of the most impressive professionals I’ve had the privilege to work alongside. As a direct report, she consistently brought a rare combination of sharp problem-solving, tireless work ethic, and an insatiable drive to learn and improve — not only delivering exceptional results, but elevating everyone around her through her curiosity, thoughtfulness, and collaborative spirit. What stood out most was her ability to take on complex challenges with confidence and clarity, pushing our thinking in ways that made the work — and the team — better. I still find myself asking, ‘How would Ashley approach this?’ She’s the kind of person who makes any team stronger.”
